It’s The Business young stock are recognised as phenomenal Jumpers with many of his young stock already making grade A including Sunnoras Son, Woodland What A Business, Back in Business and Exandor. He has also many promising youngstock in 1999 he broke the record for the most progeny being at Wembley also in 1999 It’s The Business won the Horse and Hound Leading Sire on Progeny Winnings.
Gold Business’s Grandsire JASPER won the Hamburg Jumping Derby and many other international classes. With a heart as big as a lion, and as careful as they come, he has had many admirers. In the 1995 BCM world rankings, Jasper rocketed into seventh place on the list of top progenitors. Of course, this Courville son had already made a name for himself in International jumping as Little One, but he seems equally competent as producer of showjumping horses. Considering the qualities of Legato, Jabot, El Padrino, Elton, Degina, Avontuur, Copa Cobana, King Size and Wodan B, it seems likely that Jasper will be one of the regulars in the top rankings for years to come.
Gold Business’s Great Grandsire Sire Le Mexico had phenomenal jumping ability, the very quality that he passes on to his offspring. This Furioso grandson, Le Mexico, has been a gift of the Gods for Dutch breeding. This SF, who exclusively served the KWPN, produced reliable jumpers, 19 of which are in the ranking, that makes him one of the most productive WBCSH sires. Besides Starlet and Comex, Le Mexico produced many top class products himself, but seems to do even better through his daughters, as Burggravin, Murphy Brown La Silla, It’s The Business and Everest Elton are fearsome competitors in many a Grand Prix. His sire Mexico was a successful stallion in France, being sired by Furioso, who produced a number of approved sons besides Mexico, such as Futuro and Furioso II. Gold Business’s Great Grandsire Sire on her dams side was Gotthard who was truly one of the great Hanoverian stallions and was bred by Richard Kords in 1949. For seven years he was the leading sire of show jumping horses in Germany.
His influence continues to the present day. During his time he sired over 34 licensed stallion sons Gotthard was also influential as a mare sire and he was responsible for 26 States Premium mares. He was the sire of international showjumpers, Gotin (shown as Girl II) Goya, Goldika, Gonzales, Galipolis, Queensway Big Q, Goldfink, Golden Gate, Graf Sieno and Graf 2. Gotthard’s son, Genever sired Genius, the World Cup Showjumping Champion of 1992. Another son, Goldpilz is the sire of John Whitaker’s Gamon. Gotthard has also been influential as a broodmare sire, another World Cup winner, The Natural (by Diskus) is out of a Gotthard mare, and Voltaire, the hugely influential Dutch based Hanoverian jumping sire, is similarly out of a Gotthard dam. Gotthard’s progeny were wonderful jumpers.
